10× inspection
Finished goods are checked under 10× magnification for chipped girdles, open feathers, naturals on the girdle and off-centre tables. Rejects go back to the wheel, not into the parcel.
Quality & certification
In melee, quality is a promise kept, not a certificate.
A single stone can carry a lab report. A parcel of four thousand cannot. So the control that matters is whether the sortment on the packet is the sortment inside — and that is a discipline, checked on our bench before it is checked on yours.
Parcel control
Four checks before a packet is sealed.
Every one of these happens on our floor, and every one of them is something you can repeat on arrival. That is the point — a control you cannot verify is marketing.
Calibrated sieving
Sieves are calibrated plates, not habit. Goods drop through in sequence so a packet marked +6 −8 contains stones that actually pass one and hold on the other.
Colour banding
Sorted against master stones under controlled light, in bands rather than single grades, because a band is a promise we can keep across a whole parcel and a single grade is not.
Count and weigh
Weight and piece count are recorded and written on the packet before sealing. If the count on arrival disagrees with the packet, that is our problem and we treat it as one.
Independent certification
Where a lab report earns its cost.
We do not put a report on a stone that does not need one — it inflates the price without telling you anything. Above 0.30 ct, it becomes worth having, and we arrange it.
IGI
Our routine choice for stones from 0.30 ct upward, with laser inscription of the report number on the girdle where you want it.

Sortment, sieve range, weight, piece count and the make standard, signed and referenced to the job. It is not a substitute for a lab report — it is the thing a lab report cannot do at this size.
Provenance
Natural only, and we can show it.
Lab-grown goods are a legitimate product. Mixing them into natural parcels is not. We keep the two apart by never having the second one in the building.
Kimberley Process
All rough is bought through Kimberley Process channels, with the certification travelling with the parcel. Our invoices carry the standard warranty statement, so your own compliance file is complete without you having to ask for it.
No lab-grown on the floor
We do not manufacture, stock or trade lab-grown diamonds. There is no separate line, no second shift, and therefore no way for synthetic goods to reach a natural parcel by accident. If you screen incoming goods, we welcome it — that is what screening is for.
If something is wrong
The policy is short.
Most suppliers bury this. Ours fits in a paragraph, which is roughly how much it should take.
Check the parcel on arrival. If the sortment, weight or piece count does not match the packet, tell us within seven days with photographs and we will either replace the parcel or refund it — your choice, not ours. If a stone chips during setting and you believe it was already fractured, send it back and we will assess it and say so honestly either way.
We do not argue about half a shade of colour on a band we agreed, because agreeing the band in advance is precisely how we avoid that conversation. And if we are the ones who got it wrong, the freight both ways is ours.
